I fully admit this is not a great or complicated wine (in fact rather uncomplicated), but gets balance points for drinkability. Very chewy, drinkable, luscious mouth feel wine. Otherwise no nose to speak of, black cherry taste, some simple spice but not much, barely noticeable soda/granite/carbonate as well. But very approachable, subdued acid, tannin, and alcohol (some residual sugar was very present, though). If this was $10 wine, I’d stock up and buy a case. As it is, still good deal. Link to winemaker notes. Effective 7/10.
